On August 30, 2019, Gimborn, Germany, a charming town in North Rhine-Westphalia, marked the 50th anniversary of the establishment of a unique training center. IBZ Gimborn has been training officers from around the world for half a century. By participating in its courses, officers, non-commissioned officers, and uniformed officers have the opportunity not only to broaden their knowledge of policing and social issues, but also to meet colleagues from sometimes very distant countries.

Thanks to this, they not only gain professional experience, but also learn about other customs, cultures, and even religions.

To celebrate this event, delegations from 32 countries came to Gimborn Castle, including Brazil, Portugal, Italy, Israel, Ireland, Moldova, Austria, Slovakia, England and Poland.

The ceremony included official speeches and thanksgivings, but above all, many smiles, pleasant memories, and human warmth. The event concluded with a banquet and an orchestral concert attended by 300 people.

Representing Italy were Diego Trolese, President of the Italian Section, Salvatore Puglisi, National Treasurer, Maurizio Zanoni, President of the Piedmont Delegation, and Paolo Massari, current President of the Fano Local Committee.
